Full-body exercises are great for utilizing various muscle groups rather than just one. The exercises listed throughout this article utilize the upper body, the lower body, and the core. It is important to do both aerobic and strength-building exercises. Follow the full-body exercises listed below to build muscular strength.

Reps and Sets

Every individual person is able to do differing amounts of reps and sets; even small numbers are great. Reps are the number of times you do a certain exercise. Sets are how many times you do a specific number of reps.

Pushups

Pushups are done by lowering one’s body while planking and pushing the body back up. A modification could include resting on the knees rather than having the legs straight. If you can do 10 reps, do 2 sets.

Squats

Squats are done by bringing your standing body to a squatting position to standing again. Repeat as many times as you can, then do another set of the same amount.

Burpees

Burpees are like a combination of the squat and pushup. They start with a squat, to a plank, to a pushup, and finally to standing. Do as many burpees as possible, maybe incorporating a jump up, then do a second set.

Lunges

Lunges are done with having one leg support at a right angle in front of the body. The other leg goes straight back. You should move up and down in this position, alternating legs. Do as many lunges as possible, then do a second set.

Running and Biking

Running and biking are both cardio and strength exercises. Do both of these exercises in a high-intensity interval style. Run or bike at a moderate speed, then do it at maximum intensity for a few seconds or minutes. After this, switch back to the moderate intensity.

Stair Climbing

Stair climbing is also a cardio and strength exercise. Climb up a set of stairs and back down for one minute. After you complete this, do it again. Ensure you are just utilizing one stair at a time to burn maximum calories.

Tips and Tricks

Starting exercise can cause sore muscles. Begin slowly and have a rest day after your first day to keep yourself safe. Doing a variety of many of these exercises will help you stay healthy and in shape.
